In the future, interacting with the Danish government will be much easier for companies of all kinds on account of Virk.dk and Online Consultant. The portal has been made available for a select number of companies with the purpose of final testing before being made open to the public in the fall of 2003.

 

Among other things, the portal features news and information personalised for the individual user and guides helping users through complicated processes such as starting a new company or handling a construction process.

 

It is Online Consultant that provides the advanced functionality which guides a user through all the stages of a process, and in many cases even lets the user apply electronically. In this way it is made possible for a company to conduct many of its transactions with government authorities without the bother of old-fashioned paperwork while interacting with all authorities in one coherent process, and it is planned that all such transactions in the future will be conducted electronically.

 

Virk.dk is one of the most advanced implementations of e-government, in Denmark and worldwide, and several of the central technologies, such as Online Consultant, are being supplied by Resultmaker A/S.
