The ’EHR-PL’ project is ordered by EU, 6th framework programme and co-financed by the Ministry of Science in Poland and EU.
The main goal of the project EHR-PL is to prepare a technical infrastructure that allows to:
- transfer non-harmonized medical data between various clinics and doctors in Poland;
- manage and use standardized clinical pathways;
- establish cooperation with foreign health networks (e.g. in Denmark).
The tools used for developing the platform will be Resultmaker XML Factory™ and Resultmaker Online Consultant™.
The objective of using Resultmaker Methods and Technologies in the EHR-PL project is to enablethe Polish company Systemy Komputerowe – Główka S.A. (SKG) to implement a test system in five Polish hospitals.
The project cooperates with Collegium Medicum of Jagiellonian University, Krakow (one of the oldest universities in Europe), Silesian Medical University, Katowice and Main IT Centre of Healthcare (Ministry of Health) in order to prepare a feasibility study for the new Polish Healthcare IT system. The solution is based on international standards SNOMED CT, CEN, and HL7.
As a part of the solution a Clinical Pathways Reference Database will be established, as a tool for international knowledge sharing, based on Danish clinical pathways originating from the various Danish EHR projects.
The EHR-PL Clinical Path test bed server will be based on Windows servers with MS SQL server. The prototype solution will be hosted by Resultmaker. The application system will continue to be developed and maintained by Resultmaker together with SKG (Poland).
